Salifert Dissolved Oxygen Test

Taking a few minutes each week to maintain and monitor aquarium conditions is the key to a healthy tank. The Fresh water Master Test Kit is highly accurate and economical, and includes a computer calibrated, laminated color card, 4 test tubes and holding tray. It comes with a complete, step-by-step instruction booklet, including information on how to correct unsafe water conditions.
Oxygen levels in the aquarium are recommended to be maintained between 6 - 8 mg/l at all times. At night, especially in heavily planted aquariums, the dissolved oxygen concentration can reach dangerously low concentrations (O2<5).
This effect can be even more pronounced if supplementing CO2. The Salifert Dissolved Oxygen Test is a great way to test your tanks O2 levels and help you determine if adding O2 is necessary or not.
