This filter output is designed to go with our DIY canister filter. There are a ton of different ways to make a filter output and this is just one of them. Spray bars and two way outputs are also common and we will be making them in upcoming videos. Here were show you how to make the most simple aquarium filter output, one with a single spout.

 

     Generally, one should avoid 90 degree angles as much as possible on the filter return line to reduce pressure and increase flow. This filter output doesn’t seem to restrict flow much and is still a viable option. PVC cement is required on the filter output due to increase pressure in the line when compared to the filter input.
